Ms. Sandground was a consultant to Telco Communications, a subsidiary of Excel Communications where she was responsible for changing the existing pricing strategy and implementing a new international marketing plan. She was responsible for in-language direct mail, print, television, radio, billboards and bus and subway advertisements.

Previously, Ms. Sandground was Director of Marketing, Corporate Operations at Cable & Wireless USA. Initially, she developed and implemented the concept of transport carrier arrangements, making it possible for regional network carriers to offer a nationwide 800 origination service. Ms. Sandground was responsible for tactical and strategic plans for implementing basic and enhanced 800 service products. To accomplish this she assembled and managed an inter-departmental team who identified and completed necessary network modifications, network and billing software development, pricing strategy, regulatory filings, customer support processes and procedures, marketing positioning and strategy, corporate interdepartmental training, sales training, compensation and ongoing support. Following this successful product introduction, she was awarded the Chairman’s Award for extraordinary contribution to the firm.

Prior to Cable & Wireless, Ms. Sandground was a Staff Manager for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) and developed the company’s plan to enter Cable Television transport construction. As a result, Bell Atlantic won the competitive bidding process with District Cablevision to construct the underground CATV system in Washington, D.C. Later, she worked with Bellcore to define Regional Bell operating Company strategies for 800 Database access services. She was elected co-chairman of the U.S. based 800 Database Industry Forum comprised of representatives from RBOCs, inter-exchange carriers and local independent telephone companies working toward developing an implementation plan for 800 access services.

Ms. Sandground received a BS in Marketing and Management from the University of Charleston in West Virginia, USA. She has completed the American Management Association Executive Program in New York City, Executive Seminars at Colgate-Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and at Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Sandground also has a working knowledge of French and Italian.
